Nirar Dam:
Nirar dam is the small as compared to the Sholayar dam depth wise. From Valparai dam located about 9.6 kilometers and within 20 minutes you can reach to the Nirar dam from Valparai. Chinnakallar dam is located nearby Nirar dam. If you plan for one day its enough to visit all three dams.
Nirar dam is situated in the dark forest area and its source of water from the nearby estates river and surrounding mountains. Because of Chinna kallar estate which is famous for highest rainfall so dam gets more water due to Chinna kallar . In the month of June to August rainfall will be heavy so dams attains full capacity water level.
You will have a different experience, because dam fully surrounded by beautiful mountains and silent forest. the dam is situated in the centre of the forest. The thick forest fully covered with eucalyptus and varies variety of trees. Pollution free place you can feel fresh air. Don't miss this place to visit.
