Kadamparai Dam and Tunnel
Kadamparai dam is located in the dense forest Anamalai hills between attakatti and waterfall Tea Estate. Kadamparai dam is located about approximately 51 kilometers away from Pollachi.
We can reach Kadamparai Dam within 1 hour 35 minutes, by the means of public transportation is available for every 30 minutes from Pollachi.
The Dam is considered as invisible as no legal public roadways to reach the reservoir. It can be reached by turning right from the private road you can see a big arch at 20 th hairpin bend from foot hill,Through that and way you will have amazing journey through forest you can only see less number of animals in this place.
Which Leads to the upper Aliyar reservoir and kadamparai power house that includes 6 kilometers tunnel, which is carved in single stone, we can reach dam to power house through this tunnel.
From power house gateway leads upwards to reach Kadamparai Dam. Before planning needs to get special permission from the authority to visit the power house and kadamparai Dam and also its quiet difficult to get permission.
