Vazhachal Water Falls
Vazhachal Water Falls is one of the most visited tourist places in kerala. Vazhachal Water Falls is about 63 kilometers away from Thrissur. From Tamilnadu, we can reach this place via Valparai. This falls is the one of the beautiful gift of nature inside the forest, which is located 74 kilometres away from Valparai and From Sholayar dam moreover it takes only half an hour to travel to Athirapalli falls.

This falls is under the control of Malakkapara forest department which belongs to kerala government and tourist are allowed through this check post from morning 6.00 am to evening 6.00pm, Bidirectional from Valparai and towards Valparai from Chalakudi.
From Valparai , Chalakudi is located around 138 kilometres from Valparai. Chalakudi is the only way to come to this place from kerala.
This way through Athirapalli is too dangerous from Valparai, Because
of some of the wild animals will be more in this place. Especially elephant and bison will be there so the forest guard is not allowing any vehicles to pass after 6.00 Pm. Falls comes under Kerala and Tamilnadu border .while coming you should be aware that before 6 'o clock you should cross check post .

Vazhachal waterfalls comes under Athirapalli Panchayath of Thrissur district in Kerala. It is located on the west-flowing Chalakudi River near the Vazhachal Forest Division and at the edge of the Sholayar ranges, and it is just 5 km from entrance of Athirapalli Falls.
