Top Slip Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary
Top slip is one of the most visited tourist places. Top slip is about 50.8 kilometers away from Pollachi and its take about approximately 1 hour 15 minutes travel.

Top slip is fully controlled by forest range officer of Tamilnadu government, we can see lot of wardens are on duty to protect the wild animals from poaching.

Top Slip is situated at altitude of 800 feet from the sea level. Top slip looks greenery in the month of June to October due to rainy season.

The project in Top slip started for protecting element from poaching tusks. And later due to extinct of tigers in India, Indian government announces and included project tiger in Top slip.

Top slip comes under Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and which is located in Anamalai Tiger Reserve. Sanctuary is managed by the Wildlife administrative control of the Coimbatore Forest Circle headed by the Conservator of Forests, Coimbatore. In the park there are houses, many cottages, rooms, and dormatries for visitors especially for tourists.

Trekking is one of the beautiful experience you will get from Top slip and by safari van also they are taking for seeing animals, Elephant safari also there to view the park.

The Leopard is the more visible predator in this Park. Elephant, Gaur, Wild boar, Chital, Sambar, Muntjac and Giant Squirrel are quite commonly sighted. The four species of primates found here are the Common and Nilgiri Langur,and the Bonnet and Lion-tailed macaque. The bird life is rich and varied and the Malabar whistling thrush, Grey jungle fowl, Malabar and Great pied Hornbills, Ceylon frog-mouth and Malabar trogon are all found here. These many varieties of animals and birds are there and which are found easily.
For an adventurous trip Top slip is my preferred destination with family you can enjoy 1 day trip.
